Kristi & Lauri – family portrait shoot in Piusa

We’ve been friends with Kristi and Lauri for 10 years (well, Sigrid, for a little longer, but in our age who’s counting anyways!). It has been one hell of a decade to look back on, both in the lives of these two troopers as well as our own. We’re all married (finally :D)! We’ve grown into responsible adult status – some better than others! Our hair colour and interests have changed, but there are things that will hopefully stay the […]

Mikaela & Patrik – Wedding on Kökar, Åland – vol. 2

We spent quite some time getting to Kökar, as mentioned in the previous post, and saw the Åland archipelago and its magnificence from a number of angles and Kökar stood out. It is one big pile of naked gray rock – no beach, bits of forest – but a lot of emotions. First, the winds that welcome you by blowing from different angles. 3 adventurous souls

Meet 3 adventurous souls – Jenni, Toni and Muru, the pitbull. All looking fab and in love. We’ll be getting back to the Espoo seaside to shoot Jenni & Toni’s wedding at the beginning of August. Counting the days. Spring brings out the best in Nordic people. You know the feeling the first days of spring give you when you have to open the front of your jacket, not to get too warm. Welcoming spring with Carly & Jussi at Nuuksio

I’m happy to say we NEARLY got lost on the twisting roads of Nuuksio, before we met Carly & Jussi. Nearly. They met at the London 2012 Olympics. Apparently there was an orchestra to mark the occasion – one member from each of the countries participating at the Games. Carly plays the French horn and Jussi is a percussionist. It’s obvious that Nuuksio is a place to go if rugged forest-filled terrain, lakes and pathways are what you are in […]

Best 5 of 2015

We could not help but still get caught a bit in the “best of” buzz. Cause these are like carved in stone in our minds. Queen of the world Sometimes it just so happens that in the middle of taking formal groupshots of family and friends you notice a fierce and confident bride, eyes sparkling and the veil moving like magic. All it took was 4-5 clicks of the shutter. Just a fleeting moment, filled with confidence and feeling gorgeous […]

Why do it?

This is almost for the category of “what is the meaning of life”, but not exactly. Today, some of the most brilliant figures of wedding photography are presenting at the Way Up North conference in Stockholm. Among those, Jasmine Star, whose bootcamp on CreativeLive was the most A to Z, down to earth approach to workflows, business and shooting that we have seen. In may and June, we could not wait to get Björn and Britta to sleep, just to […]
