This is Tartu Emajõe City Beach (Linnaujula). It proved tough to find a spot for a beach towel during the hot days this June and July, with families & kids on the playground well into the late hours. The teardrop-inspired terraces and benches look even more distinct from above. The only time of day with almost no people around – at sunrise. Naturally, I took the chance to also explore some of the exterior angles of this awesome piece of architecture, designed as an extension of the former military airfield in Tartu.
