After a day in Legoland in Billund, filled with carousels, attractions and ice-cream with our gang of 5, including grandma, I take a 30-minute bus ride towards the eastern coast of Denmark, to Vejle. It was unbelievably warm for a workday evening in the end of august. This meant we could walk and talk and shoot happily until the very last rays of sunlight. Last year’s last portrait shoot felt kind of Christmasy – a crackling fireplace, the cosy home and an Alaskan Malamute. As they said themselves, they don’t get together too often, but when they do, it’s a mixture of laughter and chatter. So it appears.
Once in a while I get requests from friends to make some family snaps of them. The studio is absolutely not my favorite place to do a shoot like this, because it is just not comfortable usually.
