Sille & Arvo – wedding at Viljandi Fort Ruins & Vanaõue

weddings

How come it (almost) always rains during your wedding morning and clears up by noon? This is how it happened this time as well. The pinch of nervousness was absolutely in both of them when getting ready.
Usually it’s the bride, but this time it was Arvo who was on his toes all the time. We did a few portraits before the ceremony and he was sure we had been there for 20 minutes while we were 5 minutes in.
But it turned into a happy kind of excitement with every minute we got closer to the ceremony and all seemed to go well after all.
This was one of the weddings you remember by the small emotional moments happening throughout the day. The smiles and comfort after getting ready. The tears of joy from the parents with the hugs and kisses. And the utmost devotion to getting their song from the band by one of the guests at the evening party. Makes you want to go through it all again.

Karoliina & Kimmo – Wedding at Glehn Castle, Tallinn
Last Saturday was the day for Karoliina & Kimmo. I will cut to the chase and say up front that both of them were a bit reserved in front of the camera on their own. I was even getting some nerves on when I got the feeling that they were rushing through the schedule. But you can’t blame them - as it was a bit of a destination wedding for them, coming from Espoo to Tallinn. It was the same story when Sigrid was with Karo on the getting-ready. The first true smile she saw from the bride was when they had a few minutes with her mother to have a glass of champagne before heading for the church. You could see the mother being proud. And it see ...

Triin & Robert – Wedding at Sagadi Manor
Two weeks ago, we witnessed a wedding most elegant, a couple most confident, a weather not the most encouraging for outdoor portraits, but a speech unlike any other we’ve heard. From Robert’s father Benediktas: “50 years ago I met a beautiful blonde Estonian girl. Now, 50 years later, my son is getting married - to a beautiful, blonde Estonian girl, of course.” Many congrats and thanks for having us there with you, Triin & Robert! The wedding team: Venue: Sagadi Manor (sagadi.ee, sagadi@rmk.ee) Coordinator: Rūta Raišutyte The dress: Oksana Mukha Florist: Helle Väärsi Catering: Caviar Catering Wedding moderator: Hannes Lents DJ ...

Rob & Irja’s wedding in rain and sunshine
Robert & Irja's wedding on Aug 9 was in many ways special for us. First, it was on Sigrid's (my lovely assistant) birthday. Second - it was the first time for her as a second shooter on a full-day wedding. She's been of great help on many of my shoots, but not to that extent. And she did quite a job if I say so myself - the bride's getting ready shots for example. Third - it was a lovely wedding, period. What I mean by that is I had the goosebumps (the same as during the actual day) when editing the pics from the reception and speeches, especially Robert's heartwraming speech in Estonian (he is from UK). He had to check the notes and ...
