A brilliant summer eve with Maria & Martin

engagement shoot

As it occasionally happens in this part of te world there are some summer evenings when you are left untouched by rain, or as some people like to call it, light showers. On one of those evenings our dedicated crew of two set out for a pre-wedding shoot.
Having reached the designated spot we were met by a stunning view while a certain air of adventure a.k.a horse poop reminded us to watch our step.
And then there were the two – Eston and his calm and collected mother Carrot – who didn’t seem to mind the company of their two humans Maria and Martin too much. Not even when Martin decided to try and lay Eston on the ground, not when they went for a quick swim for the first time in the nearby lake, not when they brought out their joyful bundle Liina or even when Maria just casually decided she would wear a dress and ride without a saddle.
It sure was fun!

Engagement shoot at KUMU & Kadriorg
We met Pavel and Jekaterina at Taagepera at the end of September. They immediately agreed to do a pre-wedding shoot with us. Locations-wise, we couldn't really come up with too many too fast, so we thought (as many other wedding couples in Tallinn), let's go to Kadriorg. But Kadriorg also comes with KUMU (the Art Museum of Estonia) with all its great architecture. So it happened that we spent most of our shooting time last Saturday within the KUMU courtyard and nearby locations. KUMU was not the last good thing that happened to us. After the couple had filled out our engagement shoot questionnaire, we were happy to find out they had 2 four ...

Pre-wedding shoot with Pia & Joakim
On Nov 28 last year I got an email from someone called Pia from Sweden. It was a wedding inquiry like many others. But it would be our first one in Sweden. Fast forward a day or so, with some specifics on travel arrangements etc, Pia is including her husband-to-be - Joakim - in the email thread on the Cc field and then comes something in Swedish: Herreguuuuud vad fint! Jag gråter juuuu här!!!! Vi måste ha dem, vi måste! I know what "Tack!" and "God morgon!" mean, but this was above my skill level. After a bit of Google Translate, I realized this was one of the most positive emails I had ever received. Not so much because Pia & Joakim ...

Vivian & Rainer on horseback
Vivian used to ride when she was a kid. And Rainer was up for it when we had lattes with them, discussing their plans for the wedding. That's how little it took to make an afternoon like this happen, with tons of excitement. Of course, we were lucky enough to have Maria & Martin refer V & R to us, and the stable of Tooma (Tooma Tallid) as well.
