Jenni & Toni – wedding at Långvik

weddings

We spent a lång weekend (pun intended) this August with a couple that has an awesome army of friends, the greatest of families, and frightening sets of back muscles.
What made us remember the day (besides the tear-jerking speeches and the gorgeous couple) was the way Jenni made sure the evening was genuinely about celebration and relationships.
Having had a good look at the worn-out printed schedule I grab from the camera bag, I ask her “There’s no tossing of the bouquet?” She replies, with a slight confident smile – “Nope, no weddingy stuff!”
I notice myself raising my eyebrows, but in a moment realize this is exactly how it should be. This is who they are.

Venue and everything delicious on the tables: Långvik Congress Wellness Hotel
Dress: Maggie Sottero
Suit: Kaleva
Florist: Kirkkonummen Kukka
Cake: Konditoria pH7
DJ: Rony Rex

The b-roll from Bankeryd
This is how we approached the day of Pia & Joakim at VidaBlick, Bankeryd. Plus... a bit of a cartoonish slideshow for them to look at while they are waiting for the album ;) Ella and the doggies. The bride's mother being the soul of the evening at the barbeque the night before. Sigrid checking out the cargo parachute to see if we could incorporate it into an interesting shot (which never happened on the wedding day with a first rank storm warning). And the best man insisting to take a portrait of me and not taking no as an answer while handing me the glass. The stuff that makes you remember it.

Sille & Arvo – wedding at Viljandi Fort Ruins & Vanaõue
How come it (almost) always rains during your wedding morning and clears up by noon? This is how it happened this time as well. The pinch of nervousness was absolutely in both of them when getting ready. Usually it's the bride, but this time it was Arvo who was on his toes all the time. We did a few portraits before the ceremony and he was sure we had been there for 20 minutes while we were 5 minutes in. But it turned into a happy kind of excitement with every minute we got closer to the ceremony and all seemed to go well after all. This was one of the weddings you remember by the small emotional moments happening throughout the day. The ...

Best 5 of 2015
We could not help but still get caught a bit in the "best of" buzz. Cause these are like carved in stone in our minds. Queen of the world Sometimes it just so happens that in the middle of taking formal groupshots of family and friends you notice a fierce and confident bride, eyes sparkling and the veil moving like magic. All it took was 4-5 clicks of the shutter. Just a fleeting moment, filled with confidence and feeling gorgeous inside, as well as outside. Karo The truth is that all you need to do to get a good (read: truthful) portrait of somebody is to try and imagine what she is feeling at every given moment. Here is Karo, ...
